“Twin Mirror” a new psychological thriller for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One is being announced by Dontnod Entertainment the studio behind Life is Strange and Vampyr. It is published by Bandai Namco.
Twin Mirror follows the character named Sam who is 33-year-old investigative journalist “returning home to bury an old friend.” The story takes place in the fictional town of Basswood, W.Va.
“As Sam wakes up one morning in his motel room witha bloody shirt and no memories of his whereabouts the previous night, he embarks on a thrilling investigation to find the truth, with his mind as his only weapon,” the announcement reads. “‘Twin Mirror’ offers the ability to dive into Samuel’s painful memories to personally and uniquely shape the investigation through a series of gut-wrenchingly impactful choices, each bringing the player one step closer to discovering both the truth, and their place in the world.”
“An exciting, story-driven adventure game, Twin Mirror is a compelling journey that explores the elements of choice and hypocrisy, while paving a players’ way toward the conclusion of their investigation,” Bandai Namco’s Cyrus Wesson wrote on the PlayStation Blog.
Twin Mirror will release in 2019. This announcement is made just before E3 2018. And we might get more information about the game in upcoming Sony’s E3 press conference on June 11th.
